AVP Uses Digital Signage and Interactive Kiosks for Mobile Marketing
Manhattan Beach, CA Sunday, July 22, 2007 Las Vegas, Nevada – The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) launched an interactive marketing campaign, the “Cuervo Cabana,” for Jose Cuervo, the largest sponsor of the AVP. Jose Cuervo, in the 2nd year of a 3 year marketing agreement with the AVP, reaps the benefits of this interactive, mobile marketing solution.
The AVP needed an automated, interactive solution that was durable; they travel to over 18 locations throughout the summer, including 7 beaches. The AVP wanted to add technology & interactivity to their marketing offering. The solution required units that are easy-to-use, both from a setup standpoint and a consumer standpoint. These units would be moved weekly, fork lifted to/from locations and setup in semi-outdoor environments (underneath tent structures). The AVP contracted with SeePoint Technology, to provide mobile marketing kiosks for interactive, semi-outdoor locations.
SeePoint Technology worked with the AVP to manufacture a hardware solution for their interactive marketing needs. SeePoint’s engineers and designers corroborated to launch a Dual Display Model, allowing kiosk interactivity with an additional large LCD display. All power and cable management are resolved by SeePoint’s engineers, leaving no exposed ports, wires or cables, enabling the system to run 24x7x365 in a public environment. The AVP chose SeePoint for its attention to quality, knowledgeable staff and kiosk aesthetics.
The units allowed the AVP to display historical and modern-day volleyball highlights to lure visitors. The visitors then utilize the interactive kiosk system to register for various events and provide consumer information. Combining the digital signage piece with kiosk interactivity implements a powerful tool for lead generation, mobile marketing and customer information.
Jason Fitzgerald, with AVP Marketing, decided to go with SeePoint’s integrated kiosk systems because, “They are durable, stand up to the demands of mobile event marketing; easy-to-use, for our staff and customers; and are able to be repurposed, can be used for another client’s marketing project in the future.”
