Rosemont Convention Center Provides Digital Tourist Information
Rosemont, IL – Thursday, January 10, 2008 – One of the largest exhibit halls in the nation, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, in Rosemont, IL, went digital with visitor information. In the main lobby, visitors and convention attendees are greeted by two AD-VantagePoint kiosk systems. These systems run TouchQuest applications designed to enhanced their experience and assist the traveling public with valuable information and services.
As in any hospitality/tourism venue, visitors need information on restaurants, events, weather, flights, news, hotels, and other local area attractions. Traditionally visitors and convention attendees would need to bother their hotel concierge, convention staff, volunteer information staff, or check in the local yellow pages. With the TouchQuest kiosk and digital signage solution- visitors can get all that information immediately. In addition, local tourism is promoted through digital public education.
TouchQuest systems provide touch screen interactivity together with a secondary digital signage monitor, allowing advertisers to promote products and services in front of a captive audience. The interactive kiosk portion of the product is the VantagePoint Sterling stainless steel, free-standing, fully integrated 19” LCD and touch screen system from SeePoint Technology. The interactive digital signage piece utilizes a commercial grade, flat panel 40” LCD by NEC. The digital signage system can be configured to run independently of, or in conjunction with, the interactive kiosk system.
